Celebrate the grand opening of the Matheson History Museum’s newest exhibition “The Alachua Phenomenon: Two Centuries in Florida’s Eden.”
Meet the curator, tour the exhibition and enjoy light refreshments. The exhibition features photographs and objects from the Matheson collection and items on loan from Alachua County museum partners, including one of the original copper lions from the 1885 county courthouse to explore how Alachua County developed its own unique character over time. “The Alachua Phenomenon” exhibition was created in partnership with Alachua County’s Discover 200 bicentennial celebration.
Sponsored in part by Visit Gainesville, Alachua County.
