Evergreen Cemetery’s 169th Anniversary

Join a celebration of the historic Evergreen Cemetery. Established in 1856, Evergreen Cemetery is the only municipal cemetery in Gainesville and also functions as an outdoor museum with stories of local historic developmental importance unfolding at every turn on its more than 50 acres of land. During the 169th Anniversary celebration, see recent renovations like the cemetery’s entryway and accredited arboretum with over 100 trees. Plus, preview new services like natural burials, a designated pet cemetery, digital grave locator app and plans for new construction including a columbarium. Admission is free.
