To kick off Zero Waste Week 2025 in Gainesville, The Repurpose Project and Zero Waste Gainesville are organizing a Fixit Clinic in The Repurpose Project’s Community Center.

During Fixit Clinics, community members bring broken items to be repaired.
Community members with repair skills are needed to attempt to fix these items.
Repair is an essential component of reuse, and The Repurpose Project aims to show that prolonging the life of items is essential for creating Zero Waste systems.

This is a free event, with a suggested donation between $5 and $20 for those able.

Volunteers are needed to line up and fix lamps, other corded items, bikes, small appliances, and more.

If you would like to volunteer your repair skills, please sign up here.

Do you have an item that needs repair?

Sign up in advance to be sure your repair can be looked at here.

Walk-ins are also welcome.
