Join a diverse and dynamic community of artists at North Central Florida’s premier festival dedicated to the art of poetry.

In honor of National Poetry Month and the Bicentennial Founding of Alachua County, this year’s theme is “Where We Live: DISCOVER 200.”
Experience an exciting lineup of events across multiple venues, including youth poetry and monologue competitions, the Swamp-Berry Jam Poetry Slam, and more.

A highlight of the festival is a special appearance by acclaimed poet and author Lola Haskins. Known for her evocative and lyrical poetry, Haskins has been a cornerstone of Florida’s literary community for decades. Her work has been widely published and celebrated for its deep connection to nature and place, making her the perfect voice to help explore this year’s theme. As a featured guest, Haskins will lead a community poetry and creative writing workshop, followed by a reading that promises to inspire and engage.
