Across Town Repertory Theatre

Gainesville Community Playhouse

The Gainesville Community Playhouse is one of the oldest community theaters in Florida producting quality plays and musicals since 1927. GCP is housed in the Vam York Theater, a 210-seat, state-of-the-art facility.

hippodrome theatre

The Hippodrome Theatre, Gainesville’s professional theater company, produces contemporary plays and classics throughout the year. Its cinema space screens independent and foreign films. The iconic building was constructed as a federal building and post office in 1911 and transformed into a performing arts space in 1973.
